Intended use:
The Rhizomed is an orthosis for immobilizing the carpometacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joints of the thumb.

All indications for which immobilization of the base of the thumb and carpometacarpal joint is required, eg. ex.:Ruture of the ulnar collateral ligament.
Rizarthrosis.
States of irritation in the area of the joint at the base of the thumb and the carpometacarpal joint (conservative, post-traumatic, post-operative).

Contraindications:
Unstable capsuloligamentous system that requires secure fixation with plaster.

Material composition:
Aluminium, polyamide.

Measurements to be determined:
- Length from the center of the wrist to the end of the proximal phalanx (thumb crease).
